Honey Testing

OGANIKO Honey is ensured by extensive in-house and independent testing, performed by a renowned German testing laboratory.

All our honey thoroughly tested to ensure that it has not been adulterated in any way, shape or form. We have adopted safeguards to reduce the chances our honey contains any unwanted added ingredients, such sugars or antibiotics.

Upon request, we are happy to provide you with the test results for your honey.

Raw Honey

OGANIKO Raw honey is best described as honey “as it exists in the beehive” Once strained, raw honey is bottled and ready to be enjoyed.

Today, most honey on supermarket shelves is processed, usually through pasteurization, which involves intense heating. Many of these processed types of honey may contain added sugars.

Raw honey comes straight from the honeycomb, whereby the beekeeper will just filter the honey to remove small bits of debris, including pollen, beeswax, and parts of dead bees.

OGANIKO Honey is minimally processed – just coarse filtered to remove rough debris – honey goes in / honey goes out!

Our honey is not micro filtered, which is the filtration method used by large commercial honey processors.

Unless it’s specifically marked “raw,” much of the honey on supermarket shelves is actually pasteurized! Pasteurization is a process that destroys the yeast found in honey by applying high heat. This helps extend the shelf life, stops crystallization and makes it smoother, but
